What is Psychodrama?Psychodrama is the name given by J. L. Moreno to the method he developed for helping people become more spontaneous and so creative in day to day living. It has been developed further by others trained in this approach. The use of the method often involves improvisational dramatic action. The script is written moment by moment out of the concerns and purposes of an individual or group. The leader or director organises production. Practitioners of this powerful method integrate all levels of the human being: their thinking, purposes, imagination, feelings and actions within their social context. It bridges between the individual and society. (Spontaneity is the ability to rise creatively to any situation. Sociometry is the application to researching the structure and patterns of relations in a group. Sociodrama is the application to assessing and developing relationships between groups of people having differing values and identities.)
