Training Staff

Paul Baakman (Director) has a background in Mental Health Nursing and Residential Social Work. He is a Psychodramatist, a Trainer Educator Practitioner (TEP, AANZPA) and a Registered Psychotherapist in private practice. He currently is a member of the AANZPA Board of Examiners.

Sara Crane is a Psychodramatist, a Trainer Educator Practitioner (TEP, AANZPA) and is a Registered Psychotherapist with a special interest in children and families and has a long-standing involvement with Playback Theatre.

Walter Logeman has a background in teaching and Social Work and is a Psychodramatist, a Trainer Educator Practitioner (TEP in training) and Registered Psychotherapist who works in private practice and specialises in relationship therapy. Walter is a member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists and serves on the local and national NZAP Supervision Committee.

Visiting Trainers

Jenny Hutt is a Sociodramatist and TEP. She is on the staff of the Australian College of Psychodrama and is currently a member of the Board of Examiners. Her professional identity is as a consultant in organisation development where she works sociodramatically with groups.

Don Reekie is a Trainer Educator Practitioner (TEP, AANZPA), a Psychodramatist and Role Trainer. He works with team relationships in organisations as well as with individual development and health.

Claire Guy (TEP) is an experienced psychodramatist and trainer, psychotherapist and supervisor. Born in the Scottish highlands, she has lived in NZ since 1976 and identifies as a Scottish Kiwi. She works in private practice and is a senior tutor of Counselling Diploma and Degree programmes at Nelson-Marlborough Institute of Technology. She is known for her congruent communication, warm heart, uplifting teaching style, joy of life and playful adventurous spirit. She is part of an extensive 4 generational family network.

Guest Presenters

Valerie and Rex Hunton: Valerie Hunton is a well known artist while Rex is a physician. Both are experienced psychotherapists and counsellors. In 1981, they were the first New Zealanders to qualify as certificated psychodramatists. Since then they have practiced and taught this method as well as applying it to their own relationships and lives while living in NZ and Pacific Island countries.
